CFTP Presents: Galaxy Invader

The name of this movie is completely inacurate as there is no invader of galaxies anywhere in this.  It's basically "Deliverance" but instead of Burt Reynolds and friends, it's a very unlucky alien that crash lands in the deep, rural south-eastern US and is then hounded and hunted by a bunch of violent, murderous, drunken, redneck imbeciles for fun and potential profit.  The main character in this, an abusive, alcoholic father, is one of the most instantly loathsome characters we've ever seen, and his crook of a best friend is a piece of work in his own way.  The final scene is so shockingly ridiculous and satisfying that it almost makes up for the awful movie that preceded it.  You might also remember scenes of this movie from the opening credits of the movie Pod People that MST3K featured in one of their episodes.  This movie is much worse than Pod People.

This poster is a straight-up parody of one of the posters for Deliverance.  I think I might have rushed it a bit, but I think it fits with the movie that inspired it.  I made this using Gimp.
